Dyson Dc07 Brush Not Touching Carpet

Hi the brush bar of my dyson dc07 no longer rotates.

We ve had parts fixed replaced but nothing has worked. This usually happens because the filters need washing or your machine is blocked. 95 responses to the brush roll won t turn dyson dc04 dyson dc07 and dyson dc14 angus black on may 21st 2014 at 6 36 pm replacing the belt will not help suction as such but it will make the machine pick up again. The motor runs well and obviously the motor shaft driving the clutch belt is rotating all belts are okay although i cannot tell if the drive belt from the motor shaft is slipping or driving the clutch due to the clutch cover but assume that this is not slipping.

My dc07 s automatic carpet height adjustment stopped working a while ago but after it was out of warranty. The brush will not stay in contact with the carpet. Carry out the performance checks and if your machine cuts out unplug and leave for at least 2 hours to cool down. Most dyson vacuums have a built in safety system that stops the machine if it begins to overheat.
